7NEWS can notify you on your cell phone as soon as your school closes or delays classes because of a snow storm. If you are interested in this service go to
whdh.com and click on “Closing Bell on Your Cell”. You need to input your cell phone number, the name of your carrier, and choose the school you are interested in hearing about. You can easily add or remove schools from your profile at any time. If you have any questions regarding this new feature, contact the toll free number 877-316-8990.
Learn to rely on these media outlets to broadcast school cancellations due to weather or any other reason (i.e. no heat in the buildings.)
Listen several times during the morning to make sure you hear any updates. Please do not call the teachers, administrators or staff.
If we do not cancel school, but if it is unsafe to drive from your area, please call the school and let us know if your child(ren) will not attend that day.
If we need to call a school delay, Preschool and Kindergarten will be cancelled for that day.
