New Faces at South Lancaster Academy
South Lancaster Academy is pleased to announce the new additions to their faculty for the 2010-11 school year. Each of these individuals comes to us with a broad background of experience and skills, and are all committed to providing an inclusive, challenging, and rewarding environment in their classrooms.
Ollyce Gardner - 2nd Grade
Ollyce comes to us from Cape Cod, although she is originally from Pennsylvania.
She is a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls, ages 4 and 6. Ollyce loves the Lord and serving Him by teaching His children. She has been a teacher for 15 years and has taught from pre-school to grade 8. Two ways to describe Ollyce is that she is patient and easy to get along with.
Dustan Cook - 5-12 P.E. /Athletic Director
Dustan grew up a pastor’s kid with lots of moving and new places, but it was his family farm in Oklahoma that gave him roots. He loves the outdoors and being active with kayaking, rock-climbing, and mountain biking as some of his favorite things to do. He enjoys working with kids, and has had some great experiences working for the last couple of years in Hong Kong as a P.E. teacher. He thinks
that doing and seeing are the best ways to learn. He is looking forward to this upcoming year with new opportunities to work with kids and see them succeed.
Damarie Olivera - 8th Grade
Damarie has been living in the Southern New England area for over 20 years. She is a mother of three boys. Two are attending SLA/Browning and the oldest heading to Andrews University. She has taught 7th and 8th grades in the city of Worcester as well as a substitute teacher for SLA/Browning. Damarie is motivated and enthused to work with the middle school students, and excited to be part of our school family.
